I think a lot of the problems that many face regarding politicians promises and steps to better issues are that they rarely live in areas affected, these people that are not affected will not take drastic action as it is not thrust in their faces. If as christime says it affects his children then that would be different!

Dear Sir, I agree. It seems to me that Obama has lost his balls. He is more concerned with offending some of his campaign contributors than in living up to his promises. I am starting to think that he is just one damn more lying politician. As long as he can send his kids to school where it is safe, he has no more concern about the rest of us. If he wants another term, he had better keep his promises; I will vote for someone else otherwise.

These baby steps are not acceptable. Let Obama send his little girls to school at the Marsh Fork Elementary School, sitting under a slurry dam filled with toxic waste from MTR, where Massey Energy has gotten the green light to build a second silo a football field's distance from the school. Let Obama send his daughters to breathe, drink, and eat lead, arsenic, mercury, selenium and other heavy metals, then I'll listen to his pathetic baby steps. BAN MTR for Appalachia's children; they are just as valuable to us as YOUR children are to you.
