For years you have stood with the people of Appalachia to stop mountaintop removal coal mining. As a result, the EPA has started to rein in coal companies that choose to topple mountains and dump mining waste into streams at the peril of the Appalachian people. While the EPA has begun to respond to our efforts, the coal lobby is taking note and busily working to undo all the progress we have made.
We need your help to stop them.
Please join us for our second annual Virginia Loves Mountains Day! On March 25th, people across the commonwealth will join forces to let Senators Webb and Warner know, without a doubt, that Virginians want them to stop mountaintop removal once and for all.
